OC Paddle from Typhoon
BRD is now able to offer to it's members the New Typhoon8 OC wooden paddle either for purchase or hire. The paddle was tested by Warren Parish and Kyelee Stanley who have given this paddle their ok Hire cost is $100 deposit and $50 on return in good condition. BRD CNY 2012
The 2011 Queensland floods caused the cancellation of BRD's annual Chinese New year Regatta in February, 2011 as Southbank had to recuperate, but they're back for 2012 - bigger and better than ever. Westcott 120 for the Heart Foundation
On the 3rd and 4th of September Erica Hamp will be completing the Westcott 120 with Lisa Curry to raise money for the Heart Foundation. The Westcott 120 is a 120km iron two day Outrigger paddle. Day 1 starts at Etty Bay south of Innisfail from where they paddle 80km to Fitzroy Island. Day 2 consists of a 40km paddle to Yorkies Knob north of Cairns.
