Within the sport of Dragonboating there exists a group of paddlers of whom almost all are survivors of breast cancer. Known colloquially as the "Pink Ladies" they belong to the worldwide body known as Dragons Abreast.

The many Dragons Abreast teams across Australia are not only competivitve paddlers, but actively promote the awareness of breast cancer as well as providing support for fellow members.

Teams of Pink Ladies are up and running in every State and Territory of Australia. Brisbane is home to the largest and brashest pink ladies club in Australia, Missabittatitty! Training hard every week our ladies have earnt the title of Australian champions in their division.

Paddlers are of varying athletic abilities, strengths, ages and health but still form the strongest bond of all within the Dragonboat world - we are survivors in this sisterhood of life!
