OC Paddle from Typhoon

BRD is now able to offer to it's members the New Typhoon8 OC wooden paddle either for purchase or hire. BRD CNY 2012

The 2011 Queensland floods caused the cancellation of BRD's annual Chinese New year Regatta in February, 2011 as Southbank had to recuperate, but they're back for 2012 - bigger and better than ever. Westcott 120 for the Heart Foundation

On the 3rd and 4th of September Erica Hamp will be completing the Westcott 120 with Lisa Curry to raise money for the Heart Foundation. The Westcott 120 is a 120km iron two day Outrigger paddle. Day 1 starts at Etty Bay south of Innisfail from where they paddle 80km to Fitzroy Island. Day 2 consists of a 40km paddle to Yorkies Knob north of Cairns. Tin Can Bay Regatta

What a beautiful winters day it was for the first regatta of the season up at Tin Can Bay. MBT and BRD both had teams entered and both got into the two (2) team grand finals. We were competing in 200m races. MBT had to compete against four (4) other teams, with only the top two (2) going through to the grand final. Hamilton Island Cup

16TH - 19TH JUNE 2011 - ResultsOver the 4 day event around 1000 paddlers from all over the world took to the water as part of the Hamilton Island Cup which included a series of sprints and marathon distances culminating in the 42klm Changeover Marathon on the final day.
